Skate Park
- Protective equipment must be worn at all times:
- BMXers - Helmets, Kneepads, and elbow pads - A back brake is compulsory
- Inline Skaters - Helmets, kneepads and elbow pads.
- Skateboarders - Helmets, kneepad and elbow pads.
- All users are also strongly advised to use wrist guards. If you are unsure as to whether or not to use these you should seek independent medical advice.
- No food, hot drinks or glass to be taken into the Skatepark - No drinks to be taken onto the ramps.
- All staff working in the Skatepark (paid or voluntary) must be obeyed and respected at all times.
- All accidents should be reported to a member of staff.
- Session ages/restrictions must be complied with.
- Never block any of the fire exits.
- Do not carryout any manoeuvre which you feel is beyond your capabilities.
- Once you have taken your turn leave the ramp quickly.
- Be aware of other users when crossing the park.
- Report any broken or faulty equipment to a staff member immediately. Please let us know if you have had an accident whilst wearing hired equipment.
- Do not stand around the park engaging in conversations as standing in groups is unsafe. This can put you at risk, please leave the Skatepark and use the other facilities provided.
- Always ensure your equipment is well maintained and in good working order.
- Always return any hired equipment at the end of your session.
- Leave the Skatepark promptly at the end of your session so safety checks can be carried out before the next session begins.
- Always check session times.
The use of the Skatepark is considered an extreme sport and therefore our insurers insist that these rules be strictly complied with in order to keep you and other users as safe as possible. Anyone found in breach of these rules will immediately be asked to leave and no refunds will be given. Failure to follow the above safety rules means we could lose our insurance cover which could result in the Parks closure.
Café Legacy
- All food and drink purchased must be paid for in full at the time of ordering. No credit will be given.
- The Café at Legacy XS cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions from food allergies. Please always check ingredients and if in doubt don't eat it.
- All food and hot drinks must be consumed in the Café area.
- Please use bins provided and help us keep the Café area clean and tidy.
- Please do not touch any sound equipment or instruments left in the Café area.
- Please report any spills or breakages to the Café staff immediately.
- During a live performance please keep noise to a minimum out of respect for the artists.
Computer Room
- Please pay attention to notices displayed.
- No more than two people per computer.
- Please respect those who are trying to work.
- You should not engage in any activity that is illegal, distasteful or likely to have negative repercussions for the Legacy XS Centre. You must not upload, download, use, retain, distribute or disseminate any images, text materials or software which:
- Are or might be considered to be indecent, obscene, pornographic or illegal.
- Are or might be considered to be abusive in that its context is or could be considered to be a personal attack, rude or personally critical, sexist, racist or generally distasteful.
- No selling goods or advertising services.
- Might have an affect on the Centre's system, network and/or external communications in any way.
- Might incur liability on the part of the Centre.
- Would be in breach of copyright or licence provision with respect to programmes, data and other items.
- You are expressly forbidden to:
- Introduce any form of computer virus
- Seek to gain access to restricted areas of the network or other hacking activities.
- Forge or attempts to read other's mail without their permission.
- No food or drink to be taken into the Computer room.
General Rules
- Always respect all members of staff.
- No Alcohol or drugs are to be brought onto the premises or consumed prior to entering the Centre - individuals suspected of being under the influence of such substances (or having them on their person) will be refused entry.
- No smoking is permitted anywhere inside the building, please extinguish all cigarettes before entering.
- Only food and drink purchased on the premises should be consumed whilst in the Centre.
- Legacy XS is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
- Always register on arrival.
- Graffiti and stickers are not permitted in the Centre. (Unless authorised by a member of Management)
- Treat other users of the Centre with respect.
- Please refrain from using obscene or blasphemous language on the premises.
- Individuals wearing clothing which may, in the opinion of the management, cause offence or upset to others may be asked to cover these up or leave the premises.
- Always show your membership card when asked by a member of staff.
- When leaving the Centre please do so quietly and with due consideration for the local residents.
